Merry Christmas (Part I)

I (Sarah) realize that I am a bit late in writing this post, but oh well, better late than never! Scott and I were so excited to celebrate our first Christmas together as a married couple, and were also blessed with the oportunity to spend a lot of time with family. Our "first" Christmas was with the Needham family, and that is where our tail begins.

We started our Christmas break (3 entire days!) by heading to Greenfield, where we spent time with Scott's parents and brother. Christmas Eve included a wonderful dinner, and the longest game of Settlers we have ever played. Scott and I lost - it was sad.

Christmas Day we awoke and were treated to the smells of coffee and coffee-cake as we made our way downstairs. We opened our stockings, and then sat down to a wonderful breakfast together. The rest of the day included preparing prime rib for dinner, opening gifts as a family, Scott and Mark having a Nerf war, and Patsy teaching me how to knit!

On Sunday we ventured to Church together and enjoyed the service with friends. Then, it was off to Upland for the Davis Christmas (more to come on that, later).

All in all, the Needham Christmas was very quiet and relaxing. There wasn't a lot to do, not a lot of noise, and it was good being together with family.

Stay tuned for Part II!

-Sarah
